JANJIMU SEPERTI FAJAR PAGI HARI
JALAN MANA YANG HARUS KUPILIH
KU TAHU KU TAK MAMPU
KU TAHU KU TAK SANGGUP
HANYA KAU TUHAN TEMPAT JAWABANKU
AKU PUN TAHU KU TAK PERNAH SENDIRI
S'BAB ENGKAU KAU ALLAH YANG MENGGENDONGKU
TANGAN-MU MEMBELAIKU
CINTA-MU MEMUASKANKU
KAU MENGANGKATKU KE TEMPAT YANG TINGGI
JANJI-MU SEPERTI FAJAR PAGI HARI
DAN TIADA PERNAH TERLAMBAT BERSINAR
CINTA-MU SEPERTI SUNGAI YANG MENGALIR
DAN KU TAHU BETAPA DALAM KASIH-MU

Psalm 34 (NKJV)
I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together. I sought the Lord, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who see the Lord shall not lack any good thing. Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord. Who is the man who desires life, And loves many days, that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking deceit. Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it. The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry. The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all. He guards all his bones; Not one of them is broken. Evil shall slay the wicked, And those who hate the righteous shall be condemned. The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.

Love of money
1 Timothy 6:10 - For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.
Lately I've seen for myself the truth of that verse in many ways. When one is forced to choose between relationships (between siblings, business partners...) and money, many choose the latter. I have come to a conclusion of the matter - the latter is the wrong choice. In choosing money over our relationship between our family members, our friends, our partners and the people around us that we love, we will lose both. I am reminded of this story that was circulating around the internet, of this rich man whose son whom he loved dearly passed on before him. When he died, he left instructions for his many possessions to be auctioned on a certain day. On that certain day, many came from far and near to bid for his many prized and valuable possessions. The first item to be auctioned was a portrait of his beloved son which was not worth very much to all the bidders. An old faithful servant of the rich man, knowing how much his master loved his son and how much that portrait meant to his master, decided to bid for it and succeeded in the bidding because no one else wanted the portrait. After that, the auctioneer announced that the rich man's instruction was to give all his possessions to the man who bids for his son's portrait. The moral of the story is, when we choose relationships over money, we will win them both.
Rev Kenneth told me over lunch one day about something someone has taught him - the key to successful share trading is to be distant. Greed makes us hold on - maybe it will go up a little more, maybe it will go down a little more.... but if we are distant, we will make the right decisions.
There you go, my two cents worth of thoughts for the day.
Matthew 6:24 - No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. (NKJV)

Happy Birthday to me...
25th October ****- the day I was born. 25th October 2009 - the day my blog was born! Happy birthday Kampong Girl! (Special thanks to Cath, otherwise the birth of this blog would be ...25th October 2010? or 2015 perhaps?)
This is the most special day in the year for me because this is the day i feel most loved and appreciated. I received dozens of birthday wishes via sms yesterday, even more via facebook, some phonecalls, some dinners (more coming yippee!!!) and a gift that I'm supposed to pick out myself from my dear Dad. My cute dad wanted to get me a fishing rod but after much deliberation, I decided to appeal for a change of gift to a watch, because I think I will use the watch more often than the fishing rod.
I wanna thank my beloved family and relatives for their love and support for these many years, my beautiful friends for their friendship and most importantly, I wanna thank my God for His love, faithfulness, blessings, protection, favour and never ending support for me. You're da best Father, friend, companion, confidante, lover, teacher, counsellor anyone could ask for. Muaks Muaks Papa God. :)
